Dr. Kern has strong health care experience primarily in the field of pediatrics. A recent addition to the Synogen team in 2006, Dr. Kern also brings expertise as an information technology professional; his operations management experience includes projects in computer networking, web development and medical software production. Dr. Kern was drawn to Synogen by his desire to develop medical technology that can improve the safety and efficiency of healthcare services.

Dr. Kern's unique background includes a bachelor's degree in Physics at the University of Virgina. After leaving Mr. Jefferson's University, he obtained a graduate degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. IT experience stemmed from projects initiated as a student; Dr. Kern currently holds CompTIA Network+ and A+ certifications in addition to being a Microsoft Certified Professional.
