History of Synogen Development Group
Newly created in 2003, Synogen's history is tied to that of Regeneration Technologies (RTI)
and the founders of RTI. Jamie Grooms, the co-founder of RTI and the original inventor of
the technologies RTI introduced, developed many business and professional contacts in the
process of starting RTI. Richard Allen, an RTI co-founder, had been a principal in a technology and biomedical business development firm for several years before joining Mr. Grooms to found RTI, and brought with him many of his own business and professional contacts. As RTI grew to more than $100 million in revenue, many issues had to be overcome in operations and in legal and contractual areas as well as in scientific research, regulatory affairs, intellectual property and licensing. When the company went public in 2000 a whole new layer of challenges were met. All of these circumstances have contributed to the experiences of Synogen's principals, and have added to the team Synogen consulting Associates.
