Mr. Engels has ten years of technology commercialization experience, working as principal or founder of several high-tech companies including Clean Air Capital Markets, a boutique energy investment banking firm, Power Navigator, a B2B high-speed electricity transmission exchange, and Origo, a software provider to large foundations. He has extensive experience in entrepreneurial finance, working for Safeguard Scientifics, a NYSE-traded venture capital holding company, and as finance and management consultant to University of Florida's Office of Technology Licensing. He holds an MBA in Management and Operations from the Wharton School of Business and a B.A. from the University of Chicago.
